Sharon and I ventured to Gardens by the Bay, which is a stunning reclaimed area of Singapore that the government has developed into a lush area of negation.
We took an elevator up in one of the Super Trees (a manmade tree covered in vegation and lights. The top of the tree opens to a walkway going from tree to tree 100 feet in the air. It offers wonderful views of the gardens and the Marina Bay Park Sands hotel.

Following our skywalk, we went to the two domes – Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome that are dominant parts of the Gardens.
The Cloud Forest opens with a beautiful waterfall misting the entire area. You are now in a tropical rainforest. There are plants and trees from around the world. As you walk through the mist, there are displays from Jurassic World. Going to the top and walking down the ramps gives you a fantastic view of the serene rain forest.

The second dome is the Flower Dome, which brings in exotic flower specimens from around the world. There are African tree, flowers from South America, and a Cherry Blossom exhibit. It is a visual palette.
After a brief afternoon nap, we ventured to the lounge atop the Marina Bay Sands Hotel for a snack and enjoy the Singapore sunset over the bay and the Central Finacial District. What a view! It was a very fitting way to enjoy our last full day in one of the friendliest cities in the world we’ve visited.

Tomorrow, on to the Coral Princess for 25 days on the way to Tokyo!
